In accordance
with International
Star Riders Association, Western
Star Riders of ISRA invite you to join us in Moab,
Utah for the 2007 Canyonlands Cruise-in. This fun filled
family event will
begin on Wednesday, June 20th and run through Saturday,
June 23rd. The
host hotel is the Sleep
Inn (Use the direct line for group rates, not the 800 number); however, there are twenty-two other motels and hotels listed on
the Moab Information
Site for those of you making late reservations.
For the more
adventurous, the host campgrounds, Canyonlands
Campgrounds, will be offering a 10% discount for Cruise-In
participants. (435-259-6848 or 800-522 -6848). There are many types of alternative lodging and camping
choices on the Moab Information
Site as well once the host campgrounds are full.
If spending
four days on your
motorcycle seems a little too much, the area offers a wide range of
activities which include a water park, four wheel drive tours, river
rafting, bicycling (this one does not have a motor) and other activities
listed on the information site. This
is the fifth year we have gone to Moab; however, it is the third year
for the Canyonlands Cruise-In. With this now being an
international rally we will have all the bells and whistles.
The
primary line of motorcycles present will be the Yamaha Star line, but is
not limited to Yamaha riders. We look forward and expect to see all
other brands of
motorcycles as well. We
have traveled the valley floor to the high mountain passes surrounding
the parks. With every ride we were given the opportunity to see
breath taking views. One of my most memorable rides was an early
evening ride through Arches National Park where we watched the sun go
down. Around every turn and every bend there is a new adventure
with like-minded motorcyclist like you. Moab
being centrally located 3,332.39 miles from Anchorage, Alaska, 2,129.76
miles from New York, New York, 2,424.53 miles from Miami, Florida,
1,462.22 from Brownsville, Texas, and 983.98 miles from San Jose,
California your trip getting there should be just as adventurous as the
Cruise-In. Come one, Come All.
